REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS

Nice little multi - not the quality that leatherman used to be

I own (now) 4 leatherman multi tools. Just got the signal for Christmas. It’s definitely the coolest looking of my leather mama (black and coyote brown). I like the new locking mechanism but I worry about it lasting over time. Swings open easily if not locked. The overall quality isn’t the same as my sidekick or wave (and wave plus). I’ll still carry the sidekick as my edc because it just feels more reliable. Will probably clip the new signal onto my backpack or something as a backup. Cool design, cool color combo, just not the quality and sturdiness that I’m used to in a leatherman.

Awesome

a bummer as it was a Christmas present from my mother-in-law. And hopefully someone found it in the Superstition Mountains.
I bought my Signal right after it came out and upgrade the sheath. I hike close to two thousand miles a year with my boy Rowdy. It is by far the best one so far. I don’t go know where without it. Read Less

Love my Leatherman Signal!

I got this recently for a two week camping trip. A must-have for tent camping (truck with me) and weight I'm not concerned with. Also great for preparedness. Quality of Leatherman is always top notch!

Q: Can you take this Signal leatherman apart to clean it? Wash it?

A: We do not recommend disassembly of any of our tools, it will void your warranty as well. If you need to thoroughly clean your tool, we do recommend a light machining oil that is thin and compressed air, it will reach all the hard-to-reach places and clean out grime and dirt.

Q: With the signal is it possible when ordering for the fire starter and whistle to come in a different color, for example the red signal with the fire starter and whistle showcased in the cobalt. All parts are the same and made by you, the only difference is color. If possible that would be amazing.

Q: Is it possible to get either Aqua or Red with silver blades & tools? I think I understand the marketing appeal of black but I am more concerned with contrast when I set the tool down in a outdoor environment....
