An Inspiring Tool for Inventive People
I bought my first Leatherman two years ago when I started a new job as an R&D official, here in The Netherlands. That Charge TTi has been a true companion to me, and assisted me at the trial testing of an invention that I made: cutting wires, fastening screws etc. In fact, it may even have inspired me to invent. That Charge TTi is a very, very, sturdy and high quality tool, nearing perfection.
Unfortunately, I lost that TTi on vacation in Italy last summer. The good thing is that somebody else will probably be happy with it, for years to come. I bought myself a new TTi just yesterday, and immediately engraved my initials and postal code onto it. Needless to say that I had to use a diamond cutting tool for that... Next week I will start a new job with Quality control and R&D involved, where that TTi will certainly be of help to me. And you know what: I already "invented" an add-on: I removed the lanyard-hook and replaced it with the loose lanyard ring that comes with the TTi, but not before cutting that ring open at the base and inserting a little magnifying optic (that happened to have a groove in which the ring fits). So, next to the clip attached, I also have a nice optic on my TTi, making it a 20 tool in one!

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
