The Most Loaned Out Tool in the World
I fly radio controlled model airplanes for a hobby. I would say that 99.9% of the times I go out to the club field, someone will ask me if they can borrow my Leatherman Wave. They will either need a saw to cut a piece for their airplane, or one of the awls, or a small screwdriver or the file . . . that's the one that gets used the most by everyone. The fine diamond side of the file will file down any metal that they will ever put into the manufacture of an airplane of any type. Because of the constant borrowing, my knife has aged very rapidly; however, everything on it is still very sharp, and very much like the beautiful new one that it was when I got it years ago.
It is a little loose, and needs to be sent in, but I know as soon as I do, the "guys" will be after me to let me use it.
I love my Leatherman, and would have two or three, if it was prudent.
The best thing that anyone ever did for me, and ten other guys at the flying field, was to give me this Tool, as a gift years ago.

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
