My Surge Saved My Life
It was only a matter of time before this marvelous tool would save my life. On September 3 I went tuna fishing off my boat in Newbury Port. Two hours in we hooked up to an estimated 150ish pound yellow fin. So we are all taking turns reeling it in then the reel spooled up when the fishing was near the boat) and some of the line went on the floor and when the fish ran some wire leader rapped around my ankle. I panicked because I thought it would cut it of from this strong fish. I unsnapped the belt sheath of my SURGE and flicked out the serrated blade in flash and did about one full sawing motion and the wire leader was cut and I still have my ankle with a scar from it. Thank you Leatherman for making great tools that are very dependable.
