One Deployable Tool
My Leatherman Core has been with me through 4 deployments to Iraq and has never let me down when it is needed, but this last deployment it just started feeling the wear and tear of the war like most humans. The file broke, the small screw driver broke in half and the locking leaver on one side broke when it slipped out of my hands in the rain on top of an ASV (1117). I still have it and it is still sort of usable just have to be careful on the one side so the knife don’t slam close on the fingers. I’m about to retire out of the army in a couple of years so I am retiring my CORE right now even though I’m going on a deployment in Dec 09 and I hope this will be my last. I’m sort of like your CORE...I never quit and neither did my CORE.
