The Pine Tree

I was snowmobiling in Yellowstone, enjoying the fresh powder before the sun completely went away. I noticed that the group of snowmobiles I was with had started to leave the meadow so I decided to go up the hill one last time before I left.

On my way up the hill, through the deep powder, I did not see the pine tree but rather felt it. I came to an abrupt and unexpected stop. The tree was stuck on my A arm on the front of the snowmobile and suddenly I was all alone and stuck in the cold. I dug around the pine tree and pulled out my Leatherman Surge and was so happy I packed it (which I always pack it now). It took a bit of time but I cut the tree down, thanked the Leatherman, put it back in my coat, and caught up with the group of whom I then told my epic story of how the Leatherman saved me from freezing.

Never leave home with out the comfort of a Leatherman to back you up in any situation.

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
