Tool Tales

Second Leatherman

Well, it's been about 7 or 8 years ago since I bought my first real Leatherman. It was a SideClip and I bought it cheap for the shop was retiring. It served me well over the years. In my profession of ICT professional I used it to repair computers. I told my customers "this tool and my expertise is all I need to repair your PC". Everyone was astounded at how easily the SideClip fulfilled its job over an over again.

Besides ICT pro, I am a passionate archer. And, again, here I put my Leatherman to a good use. It's great when pulling arrows out of trees!

A few weeks ago I came across the Leatherman Freestyle. I fell in love right away, so I bought it. I missed some tools from the SideClip, but at least I had a sci-fi looking tool in my pocket. My girlfriend claimed the SideClip immediately after I showed her my new toy. I resisted giving her the old one for I still needed the other tools. Until today that is....

Wandering around in my favourite outdoor shop I came across the Skeletool. You guessed it, I now am the proud owner of a brand new Leatherman with all the tools I need for my profession and the looks of the one I fell in love with.

Oh, and the SideClip? Well, I officially handed it over to my girlfriend and hope she gets as much pleasure out of it as I did.

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
