Working like a dog
I have been a vet tech assistant for three years. Clean kennels, laundry, light maintenance, etc. In my job I am called upon to take care of cleaning and maintenance problems, sometimes fixing or adjusting something. I feel so good at carrying my Leatherman Surge in my scrub pants, because to me, it means I am prepared to get busy on anything that comes along.
We've recently moved into a new vet hospital, and occasionally I'll need to pull out my Surge to tighten the bolts on the kennel door latches. Or I need the saw blade to tear down the boxes our supplies come in. Too bad I didn't meet Surge before I met my wife! Who knows who I would've married!

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
