A Tool for Tower Climbers
I work for a company doing repairs on communications equipment and we have a crew of 4 people; between us we have 8 Leatherman (each person has one for a backup ). I don't think there is a day that goes by that we don't use these tools.
When climbing towers the Wave is one of the most valuable tools in our arsenal, whether we are stripping the weatherproofing off cables (which can be difficult at 20 degrees below zero), or putting new connectors on, we use these tools. They are truly amazing! I would have to say that I wouldn't want to be at work without one of these (as a matter of fact that’s why I have two).
I like the Leatherman so much that I have one an older one I got at a yard sale in my car glove box and a Squirt on my key chain.
One time I was on a tower in Maine and my tool bag slipped and fell off the lanyard I was using, leaving me with just the Leatherman. I was able to complete the job without any problems thanks to the Wave I had in my pocket.

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
