Darn Surge is Just TOO Good!
I have EDC (everyday carried) a Surge since 2005 when they were released. I have used a Surge to save lives, save my own life!, fix countless things, and I could just go on and on. The Surge does it all! I have almost every Multi-Tool available from LEATHERMAN, Victorinox, SOG, and Gerber. All have their pros and cons, but the Surge fits my needs the best and is just a solid tool.
I have used these tools to the breaking point and they come out fine! I have cut thick webbing like 10,000 pound supporting straps with a quick cut of the serrated blade! I just love my Surge and just wish everyone felt the same way! I recently went backpacking in the White Mts. and I used this tool A LOT! I used it for all the dirty work such as fish filleting (forgot the fillet knife), sawing, cutting, twisting, digging, using it as a weight to throw rope over a tree, repair equipment, use the pliers to pull hooks out of fish, use the wire cutters to free a trapped deer, and most importantly to make my life easier. I love Leatherman multitools and just hope that many people feel the same way. The Leatherman brand is fantastic!
