Trip Saver
As an onsite engineer, I usually work in and around large silos. Therefore to have a multi tool on your belt is a great advantage because it saves you carrying the odd tools up and down these structures, “trip savers” I call them. There is nothing worse than realizing that your Philips screw driver is sitting in your tool box on the ground, when you urgently need it to do up a hose clamp on top of the silo.
The numerous multi tools that I usually owned were the cheap and nasty variety but I stopped using them all, when I finally got my first Leatherman, the Fuse. You just can’t compare the design, workmanship and finish of the Leatherman and when you hold one in your hand, you can understand why they guarantee it for 25 years.
My only complaint would be that you need at least two Leatherman multi tool. That’s because one, people always borrow them and you’re left without your favourite tool for awhile. And two, there’s the numerous jobs where you need one Leatherman to hold the piece down while you work with it with your other Leatherman. So now my current dilemma is deciding which new Leatherman to get.... Charge, Wave, Crunch..... choices, choices.....

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
