First time Leatherman user - A driller's tale
My name’s Paul I live in Western Australia and work as a driller, one of the toughest job out there. I've been wanting a Leatherman for about 10 years but always thought they were very pricey for what they are and couldn’t justify the outlay of cash for one. So I finally bit the bullet and went and bought one from my local camping shop.
I got all the knives and the other gear out of it and boy are those knives sharp and I'm most impressed with the whole tool I love it well I couldn’t wait to get to work the next day to try it out so up I got at the usual time, strapped her to my hip. So a few of our chairs at drilling camp need fixing so we got some glue and went to work on them I said to my officer we need a screwdriver but then I remembered I had my CORE so it helped put the screw out and back in again the screwdriver was great. We also needed a knife to cut the top off the glue but I had that covered with the CORE and she just sliced straight thru it with out a problem. We moved onto some bigger chairs and they had some dowel sticking out so out came the CORE again with the saw this time and she just ripped thru the wood. I'm loving this tool! The next day I was up on the roof and needed to pull a nail out so out came the Leatherman for this job and did it spot on.
As far as I can see this Leatherman CORE and me are going to do heaps of work together I'm using it everyday and its handy to have on the hip to save the time looking for the right tool for the job as they are in one place now. I'm always buying a Leatherman from now on and it also looks like a new hobby collecting these tools.

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
