Tool Tales

October 2009

Underestimated

25 year warranty huh? Well guys, I just ordered my third sheath and my original PST is going strong, albeit with a worn file, and the can opener is just about worn out.

We laugh about "L' man tool job #____”, as it gets used for everything:

• As needle holder to suture people and dogs.
• Porcupine quill removal from a dogs tongue when I mistakenly sliced the dog on the porky, thinking it was a crippled quail in a bush.
• Uncounted fish hook removals
• Extracting a throat-lodged fishbone from my then 3 year old.

. . . And on and on

It was given to me in the early 80's and I sniffed it off as a toy given by my ding dong brother-in-law. Boy, was I wrong.
Thanks guys.

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
