Great Customer Service
I work in the theatre as a lighting technician, and have always used a Leatherman regularly in my day to day work. I've owned an original Super Tool for years now, but it eventually got too tired to be useful. I can't do without a multi tool. It's a long walk back to my toolbox and not practical to carry it with me all the time, so I bought a new Charge AL and sent my poor old Super Tool off to be repaired, not really knowing what to expect as it has had a pretty hard life being used for anything from cutting very tough stranded safety wires to hammering in nails, and was frankly, wrecked and abused!
To cut a long story short, today I am now the proud owner of a new Leatherman Core, received free of charge as a replacement, and I couldn't be happier. It feels really tough and I'm really impressed with the good sized tools and comfortable handles (my only criticism of the old Super Tool). So now I have the versatility and one handed blade opening of the Charge AL (handy when you're up a ladder or hanging from a harness 70 feet above the stage!) and the toughness and sheer size of the Core - an unstoppable combination I think!
So thanks Leatherman, you keep making them, I'll keep buying them.
