Tool Tales

I'm Addicted

Ok, so where do I begin? I own probably 7 or 8 Leatherman now, each with their own use and designated place . . . two Micras - one on my work keys and one on my truck keys; I have a Juice S2, the fire orange one (which never leaves my side); I have a Kick that stays in my truck for emergencies, and a Blast as a back up for whenever and whatever happens. I just purchased a Crater knife with the carabiner/bottle opener . . . this is my new EDC, and that leads to the crown jewel of the collection, my Wave.

The Wave is like my dog, best friend, workhorse and absolutely loyal. I have done some pretty amazing things with that tool, from repairing a broken fly rod in the middle of stream, to putting in field stitches on an interesting camping trip, to digging up interesting rocks, to picking up a nasty spider from my girl's car.

There are no single amazing stories, but many, many small things that I can't even recall the details of because my Leatherman have become extensions of me. I always know that they are there, right by my side, when I need them. When one has been lost or misplaced or even damaged, it’s like a family member has been taken ill. Silly, I know.

I am a nurse and they have come in so handy at work and in the field in emergency situations. I have even lent it to EMTs when stopping at a scene to assess situations.

Thank you, Leatherman for all your great products. It’s so nice to know that there are still quality American made products and American workers that benefit from it.

Thanks guys,
Chris V.

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
