Dad’s Best Friend and Daughter's Saviour
My Leatherman Wave as been by far the best performing tool I have in my possession and, believe me, I own a lot being in the house maintenance business. My daughter calls me Inspector Gadget, because I have a tool for every likely event. Do I take my tool box to her house when invited (summoned)? No, just my Wave. “Dad! Can you just look at this?” “Dad, can you do anything with this?” “Dad, I don’t think you can fix this but” . . . and so on and so on. I have repaired numerous items of jewelry, bracelets, necklaces, briefcases, handbags, then onto proper man stuff like locks, hinges etc. When every other tool I use gets bent, worn, and bits broken off, I look at my Leatherman and think “my daughter is going to miss you more than me Buddy.”
By the way, I just bought the latest Charge TTi (well, it would be stupid not to). Now I sit by the phone saying, "Ring me, ring me, please ring me.”

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
