My Favorite Tool Thingy
I own two Leatherman tools, the Blast and the Juice S2, and I always have at least one of these on me. I usually carry the Juice S2 in my pocket during the week and the Blast on my belt during the weekend while I am out hiking or fishing. Whether I am using my Juice S2 to open packages or make random adjustments to things at work, or using my Blast to rig a tent or spark a fire from my magnesium block, people around me are always amazed by my "tool thingy". Many people have asked me about my Leatherman tools and I am always happy to show them off and explain where they can be purchased.
I have converted quite a few people, and this Christmas I even gave a few Leatherman Squirt P4 tools to co-workers at the office who were constantly borrowing my Juice S2 for random daily tasks. They were thrilled to have their own.
I used to carry a Swiss Army Knife, probably because I was such a huge MacGyver fan back in the day. I got my first Leatherman (the Blast) after deciding to upgrade to something a bit more rugged than the Swiss knife for use while camping. After using both my Blast and Juice S2 for a few months and relying on them almost daily, I am now definitely sure that if MacGyver had known about Leatherman tools he would have used one instead of a Swiss knife.
Thanks for designing such a great line of tools, and you can bet that I will be first in line to pick up a Skeletool when they hit the market!
