In a Pinch, Use a Crunch
I just returned from Iraq, and I can't tell you how many times I've used my Leatherman tools for various jobs, both major and minor, all throughout my deployment. One that stands out was a late night mission where our hood mounted HID light started to wobble loose from the vibration of the dirt road we were on. Stopping to get out and dig up the tool roll from the back of the Humvee would have exposed us too long in an area known for snipers, but it was critical to have that light focused on the side of the road to look for IEDs. I told my driver to halt and hopped out with my Crunch in hand.
In less time than it would have taken me to pull out the adjustable wrench from the trunk, I had tightened down the light, re-aimed it at the roadside, and gotten back into the Humvee. The Crunch is one of my least used tools, but also one of my most valuable for its powerful gripping ability on most any fastener. Thank you, Leatherman, for continuing to innovate and provide military professionals with tools that can go anywhere and do anything.

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
