Skeletool Does It for Me (Part 2)

I wrote back in November of last year of how much I care about my Leatherman Skeletool (Nov 2008- "Skeletool does it for me"), and I have more to tell...

When the warmer weather started to get here in Ohio we closed the windows and cranked up the AC, only to find out that it wasn’t as cold as we liked. After the AC guy showed up, he went to the unit in the back yard and realized he’d forgotten his pliers. If you have read the other story you know I am "That-Guy" that ALWAYS has the tool in the pocket. He gripped on to what ever he was trying to loosen and my beloved tool broke in pieces.

Now...I am SURE that I abuse the Skeletool, and it has put up with ALL of it, so I knew it was going to happen some day. I told him not to feel bad because it would be under warranty and he left after fixing the AC. Then I started to wonder how I was going to live without it until it came back. After a few minutes I looked at my wife and told her that I couldn’t go back to just a pocketknife... and drove to the sporting goods store for another.

I was happy to get my replacement a few weeks later (it's kinda neat having one in each hand) and put the replacement in my backpack that I keep in the back of my Jeep (Bug Out Bag).

Thanks again Leatherman, one for making a wonderful tool, and two for replacing the ones who do the job everyday and have to break sometime.

I'll have more stories.....I'm sure

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
