Marine War Vet/Elevator Constructor
I served in the United States Marine Corps for a four year enlistment as a 0311 infantryman. I joined in January '01 just before 9/11 happened. Away I went, being deployed three times, doing two of the deployments in Iraq. The first tour was for the initial invasion of Iraq and the second tour was the clearing of Falluja (receiving a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star during combat missions in Falluja). During those years as a Marine and being involved in an actual war I always carried a Leatherman. I cannot count the times the tool came in use not just for personal use but in times of urgency.
The Leatherman tools I owned were the Leatherman Crunch and the Leatherman Fuse which I still own and use today for my job as an Elevator Constructor. I feel blessed to be alive and I owe some level of comfort to the Leatherman tools that helped me during those times and now in the present.

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
