My Old Hunting Dog, “Tony”

Just days after I got my new Leatherman, I was out hunting pheasants with my trusty old hunting dog, Tony. Suddenly, when crossing a fence, I heard him yelping and struggling. He had stumbled into a coyote snare. The harder he pulled the tighter the steel cable became. It was choking him and he was within moments of choking to death. I couldn't release the cable, but remembered my new Leatherman. The snare was so tight I couldn't insert the nose of the Leatherman far enough to use the wire cutter feature, but I was able to grip the cable with the nose of the pliers. I twisted back and forth until finally the cable snapped. After a few deep breaths, Tony recovered and went back to hunting. Thanks to Leatherman, my dog's life was spared for many more days of fine hunting!!

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
