Tool Tales

Dentist on Call

I'm a Chiropractor by trade and use my Leatherman for many things like fishing, wrenching my Harley, and household maintenance. I have never used my tool professionally except for office repairs.

Today, my wife and daughters returned from the dentist with big news. The dentist informed my wife that my 5 yr. old daughter's two front teeth needed to come out. What I cannot understand is why the Dentist didn't pull the two teeth at the time of visit.

I scrubbed in for the at home procedure. The two front teeth were a bit stubborn and not budging easily. I told my daughter that I could not pull them out with my hands, but I needed a tool. Her eyes lit up when she saw the Wave-Leatherman. My oldest decided to photograph the moment while my wife hid in the other room. My 5yr old lay back on the couch, and, one by one I was able to get that pincer grip and extract her two front teeth.

Thanks for making America's best hand held multi-purpose device. Now my girls are fans of the Lleatherman tool. From one generation to the next.

Thanks!!! P.S. Should I send the dentist my bill?

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
