Be Prepared

I was on a road trip to Seattle with my family. We got up on the last day before we arrived and got an early start. We were making good time until the car ahead of us blew a tire and went off the road. We stopped to call an ambulance and then waited while making sure the passengers were okay. As we were waiting forever for the ambulance to show up, a few rangers from a state park drove by and stopped to make sure everything was alright. When the ambulance finally arrived, they decided to take one of the passengers to the hospital. As they were preparing to hook up an oxygen tank the question was asked "does anybody have a Leatherman?" The trained medical professionals and park staff only had pocket knives, but I had my Kick on my belt and quickly offered it to them. Shortly thereafter we got back on the road and completed our trip safely.

I have since upgraded to a Wave for camping and other long trips, a Juice S2 as my everyday knife, and have a Squirt P4 on my keys. The Kick has a permanent spot in my car and I made believers out of my family. When I needed to be, I was ready with a Leatherman. Thanks for making such a great product!

Tell Us Your Tale

OK, you voyeur, you. Enough of reading other people's stories. It's time you told your own tale of gripping heroism or even just neat DIY'ism. We know there's a Shakespeare in you somewhere. Don't make us use the Steens to find it.
