My Leatherman Wave as been by far the best performing tool I have in my possession and, believe me, I own a lot being in the house maintenance business. My daughter calls me Inspector Gadget, because I have a tool for every likely event. Do I take my tool box to her house when invited (summoned)? No, just my Wave. "Dad! Can you just look at this?" "Dad, can you do anything with this?" "Dad, I don't think you can fix this but" . . . and so on and so on. I have repaired numerous items of jewelry, bracelets, necklaces, briefcases, handbags, then onto proper man stuff like locks, hinges etc. When every other tool I use gets bent, worn, and bits broken off, I look at my Leatherman and think "my daughter is going to miss you more than me Buddy."
By the way, I just bought the latest Charge TTi (well, it would be stupid not to). Now I sit by the phone saying, "Ring me, ring me, please ring me."
